Slice onion and cook in fat for three minutes. Add potatoes, cut in small pieces, and boiling water. Simmer until potatoes are soft. Add corn and milk and bring to boiling point. Thicken with flour which has been blended with cold water. Heat tomatoes, add sugar and soda, and add to chowder. Add cooked pork. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Servings, 8.
