Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon clove
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 cup sour milk
- 2 eggs
Instructions
- Mix and sift dry ingredients. Melt shortening, add molasses, sour milk, and eggs. Beat all together until light and smooth. Bake in angel-cake pan in a moderate oven in the oven for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
