Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 to 5 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Beat eggs very light, continue beating while adding the sugar.
- Mix and sift two cups of the flour with the other dry ingredients.
- Add milk alternately with the sifted flour.
- Add the flavoring, melted butter, and beat hard.
- Add more flour to make a dough as soft as can be handled.
- Roll, cut out and fry in deep fat for 3 minutes each at a fat temperature of 380 degrees.
