Bean Pot Stew

Ingredients
- 1 pound beef (bottom of round)
- 1 onion
- 2 small carrots (sliced)
- 1 small white turnip (sliced)
- 1/2 can peas
- 4 tablespoons vinegar
- 4 tablespoons rolled oats or tapioca
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves
- Water
- 3 potatoes
Instructions
- Cut meat in cubes, brown with onion in a small amount of fat, and add with carrots, turnips, and peas to greased bean pot.
- Add remaining ingredients except potatoes, cover with water, and bake in a moderate oven. Add potatoes the last hour of cooking. Bake in the oven for 4 hours at 350 degrees.
