Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk (scalded)
- 1/2 cake yeast
- 1/4 cup lukewarm water
- 2 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
Instructions
- Put sugar and salt in mixing bowl and add milk. When lukewarm add yeast dissolved in lukewarm water. Add half the flour and beat well. Add remainder of flour and knead ten minutes. Return to bowl, moisten surface with water and let rise until double in bulk. Cut down and knead ten minutes. Shape, place in pan, and let rise until double in bulk. Bake in a moderately hot oven for 50 minutes at 380 degrees.
