Pickles
Pickled Red Cabbage
Ingredients
- 4 quarts red cabbage
- 1 quart white onions
- 12 green peppers
- Salt
- 1 cup white mustard seed
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 dozen cloves
- 3 pints vinegar
Instructions
- Chop cabbage, onions, and peppers. Sprinkle lightly with salt and let stand overnight. Drain, add remaining ingredients, and pack in jars and seal.
