Johnny Cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup corn meal
• 3 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 cup milk
• 3 tablespoons honey
• 3 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

1. 1Sift flour, corn meal, baking powder, and salt together. Beat egg and add sugar. Warm the milk slightly and pour the honey into it. Stir together thoroughly, egg, sugar, and milk to which honey has been added. Add cooking oil and combine with the sifted dry ingredients.
2. 2Bake in a hot oven for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
