Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon flavoring
Instructions
- Cream the shortening, add sugar gradually, and beat well; add yolks of eggs well beaten and beat again. Add milk, flour, baking-powder, salt and flavoring. Beat until light. Fold in carefully the whites beaten to a stiff froth, and pour at once into lightly greased pans. Bake in a moderately hot oven for 20 to 25 minutes at 375 degrees.
