Cup Cakes

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon flavoring

Instructions

1. Cream the shortening, add sugar gradually, and beat well; add yolks of eggs well beaten and beat again. Add milk, flour, baking-powder, salt and flavoring. Beat until light. Fold in carefully the whites beaten to a stiff froth, and pour at once into lightly greased pans. Bake in a moderately hot oven for 20 to 25 minutes at 375 degrees.
