Blitz Kuchen

Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup butter or margarine
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup milk
• 4 tablespoons crushed nuts

Instructions

1. 1Sift sugar, baking powder, flour, and salt into a bowl. Add butter or margarine and rub into dry ingredients. Add beaten eggs and milk, and if necessary more flour to make a rather stiff batter. Spread about one inch deep in greased pans. Sprinkle top with sugar and crushed nuts. Bake in a moderate oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
