Ingredients
- 1/2 cup lard or margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon flavoring
Instructions
- Cream shortening and add sugar. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder several times together, then add alternately with milk. Add flavoring last and beat hard for two minutes. Bake at once in moderately hot oven for 25 minutes at 375 degrees.
