Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup currants
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup evaporated milk
Instructions
- Sift dry ingredients, work in shortening, add currants, beaten eggs, and milk. Mix like biscuits, pat to one-half-inch thickness and cut in squares. Bake in hot oven for 12 minutes at 425 degrees.
