Stuffed Tomatoes, Southern Style

Ingredients
- 6 good sized tomatoes
- 1 cup corn
- 2 tablespoons green pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon onion
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 6 slices of bacon
Instructions
- Cut a slice from the stem end of each tomato and scoop out the seeds and a portion of the pulp.
- Mix the tomato pulp with the rest of the ingredients. Fill the tomatoes, heaping slightly, and lay a slice of bacon on each.
- Stand in a baking pan with one-half cup of water and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
