Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cooked and sifted squash
- 1 egg
- Pinch of ginger
- 2 tablespoons melted shortening
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
Instructions
- Combine ingredients, using enough flour to make a soft batter. Sift the baking powder in the first cupful of flour. Bake on a hot griddle in rings. Time in cooking, 30 minutes.
