Sauer Brauten

Ingredients

• 1 cup water
• 1 cup vinegar
• 3 pounds round steak
• 2 large onions
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 8 bay leaves
• 12 cloves
• 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

1. 1Pour water and vinegar over meat, slice onion over it, and add other ingredients. Allow to stand forty-eight hours, turning several times. Remove from the liquid and cook like a pot roast.
