Peach Delight

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1/2 cup milk
- Peach halves
Instructions
- Mix and sift dry ingredients, cut in the fat with a knife or rub in with tips of fingers. Add the milk and mix with a knife to keep the dough very light. In the bottoms of ramekins place halves of peaches, canned or fresh. On each put a tablespoon of the mixture and bake in a moderately hot oven. Serve with cream or milk, if fresh peaches are used. If the peaches are canned, serve with peach syrup. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 360 degrees.
