Orange Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup lard
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 orange
• 3 1/2 cups flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. 1Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, and the eggs well beaten. Add juice and grated rind of orange, and flour which has been mixed and sifted with baking powder and salt. Roll thin, cut, and bake in a hot oven for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
