Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup brown sugar or white sugar
• 1 cup shortening
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup sweet milk
• 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 cups flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 2 cups rolled oats
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

1. 1Cream sugar and shortening together and add alternately beaten eggs and milk, and dry ingredients sifted together. Add vanilla and drop by teaspoonfuls on greased tins. Bake in a moderately hot oven for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
