Dried Beef and Celery

Ingredients
- 2 cups diced celery
- 1 cup water from celery
- 4 ounces beef
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Use outer stalks of celery. Boil until tender and save one cup of the water. Add dried beef to the celery water, simmer gently for five minutes and drain.
- Make white sauce of milk, flour, and butter, and add to the celery and beef. Cook ten minutes or more in double boiler. Serve with toast or with baked potatoes.
