Cornstarch Pastry

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup cornstarch
• 1 1/4 cups flour
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 6 tablespoons shortening
• 1 egg yolk
• Water

Instructions

1. 1Mix and sift all the dry ingredients. Rub in shortening with a fork, or finger tips, and add beaten egg yolk. Add enough water to hold paste together and roll out.
