Cherry Snowballs

Ingredients

• 1/3 cup butter
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 cups flour
• 3 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 cup milk
• 2 egg whites
• 1 cup cherries

Instructions

1. 1Cream shortening and add sugar gradually. Mix and sift flour and baking powder, and add to first mixture alternately with milk. Fold in egg whites stiffly beaten, and add cherries which have been drained as dry as possible. Put in individual molds and steam forty minutes. Servings, 6.
